Title: Data Collection of the Evaluation Design, Review, and Assessment of the Expanded Students Grants-in-Aid Program for Poverty Alleviation (ESGP-PA) - Surigao del Sur State University (SDSSU)
Description: The Students Grant-in-Aid Program for Poverty Alleviation (SGP-PA) is instituted by the government through the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). Surigao del Sur State University (SDSSU) has been selected by CHED to be an implementing SUC of the Expanded SGP-PA (ESGP-PA). At the moment, the University has 582 ESGP-PA grantees coming from poor households of the various municipalities of Surigao del Sur. PIDS collaborated with the SDSSU for the assessment of implementation of the program in said university. The project will create a baseline for the program by tracking and analyze grantee performance vis-a-vis peers. It also aims to document SDSSU interventions that may or may not have affected student performance and provide observation to aid in improving future program implementation
