Title: Examining Trends in ICT Statistics: How Does the Philippines Fare in ICT?
Description: This research undertaking is primarily designed to examine trends in ICT statistics, and look into issues on why internet in the Philippines is slow and in turn, give policy recommendations on how to improve its status. Thus, it has the following objectives: 1) To assess the ICT conditions in the country according to development parameters 2) To identify the issues regarding the current pace of internet connection in the country and related issues on ICT conditions in the Philippines 3) To look into current rules and regulations involving the ICT industry 4) To look into policy issues toward improvement of the ICT sector. This study will provide extra support to the promotion of innovation policies so that ICT can be an important element to sustain our growth and development, and to make this growth and prosperity shared by all Filipinos.
