The Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) and the Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA), in partnership with Bukidnon State University (BukSU), will hold the 11th Mindanao Policy Research Forum (MPRF) with the theme “Harnessing AI in Mindanao: Pathways for People-Centered Governance” on October 21, 2025, at the BukSU campus in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.

Now in its 11th year, the MPRF forms part of the nationwide observance of the 23rd Development Policy Research Month (DPRM). This year’s theme aligns with the DPRM 2025 focus on inclusive and people-centered governance in the age of artificial intelligence (AI). Discussions will highlight opportunities and challenges in applying AI in areas such as agriculture, trade and industry, peace and security, digital transformation, and climate resilience.

Due to limited availability at the venue, onsite participation will require manual approval. Interested participants may join onsite or online via Zoom at https://bit.ly/MPRF2025reg. The session will also be streamed live on the PIDS, SERP-P, MinDA, and BukSU Facebook pages.

Further details of this year’s DPRM may be accessed from the DPRM website at https://dprm.pids.gov.ph/.
