PIDS proposed continuing its initial work on the process evaluation of the HRHDP by conducting an impact evaluation of the program. The impact evaluation aims to determine the impact of the HRHDP in terms of the following: 1. Improvement in health outcomes/achievement of health-related MDGs/SDGs; 2. Addressing the inequitable distribution of health care professionals in the country especially in rural, underserved, hard to reach communities and health facilities; 3. Improved access to quality health services especially among marginalized population in the country; and 4. Improved local health systems especially in areas with deployed physicians under the Doctors to the Barrio Program
