For the first time, DPRM is kicking off in the regions!
This year's Development Policy Research Month (DPRM) brings the theme “Reimagining Governance in the Age of AI” (Muling Pagpapakahulugan sa Pamamahala sa Panahon ng AI) to Baguio City on August 20, spotlighting how policy research and tech can work together for better governance.
Organized in partnership with the Department of Economy, Planning, and Development–Cordillera Administrative Region (DEPDev CAR) and the Philippine Information Agency–Cordillera Administrative Region (PIA CAR), the media conference will explore how artificial intelligence—when guided by rigorous policy research and ethical safeguards—can enhance transparency, efficiency, and inclusion.
Taking a localization lens, the program will showcase the role of responsive policies in ensuring that technology adapts to community contexts, respects indigenous knowledge, and works within geographic and institutional realities.
