Manila, Philippines, 16 September 2010In a new study launched today, the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) and UNICEF revealed that in 2006, 44% of all Filipino children are living in poverty, equal to 12.8 million children under the age of 15. This figure increased by almost 4 percentage points from that of 2003, with said increase equivalent to approximately one million additional poor children.
