According to a PIDS study, coal is the most used technology for power generation. Considering the government's ambitious goal of achieving a 35 percent share of Renewable Energy in the power generation mix by 2030, the Renewable Portfolio Standard has been established with an annual incremental requirement of 1 percent for on-grid participants and 1 percent for off-grid participants.
