#PIDSInfoBits: Did you know that the output of the Philippines' fisheries and aquaculture industry is declining?
Despite being considered one of the world's top producers of fish, the country saw a 14.7-percent decrease in the volume of production from 2010 to 2020, which translates to around 1.6-percent annual decline. On the brighter side, the aggregate value of production increased by approximately 23.7 percent for the same period, which translates to an average annual growth rate of 2.2 percent.
