While the Philippines has high attendance rates at all education levels compared to other countries with similar development levels, education outcomes show the continuous decline of education quality in the country. The pandemic also introduced another set of challenges with the sudden shift to remote learning. One of the many indicators of this education crisis is the country’s poor results in international assessments.

This infographic shows the learning gaps in basic education and the progress and challenges in technical and vocational education and training (TVET) and higher education that require serious attention. For each of the schooling tracks, recommendations for improvement are presented.
