On July 29, the 2025 DPRM Steering Committee convened at the PIDS Conference Hall and via Zoom, to gear up for the 23rd Development Policy Research Month (DPRM) this September!

With the unveiling of this year's theme, "Reimagining Governance in the Age of AI," the committee shared strategies to spotlight this year’s nationwide observance—including the much-anticipated Annual Public Policy Conference (APPC).

In attendance are PIDS officials: President Philip Arnold Tuaño, Vice President Marife Ballesteros, Senior Research Fellows Kris Francisco, Adoracion Navarro, Aubrey Tabuga, and Department Manager Melinda Quinoñes; and representatives from the agency members of the Steering Committee: Presidential Management Staff, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, Philippine Information Agency, House of Representatives Congressional Policy and Budget Research Department, Senate Economic Planning Office, Department of Planning, Economy, and Development, Department of the Interior and Local Government, Department of Budget and Management, and Civil Service Commission. The Department of Science and Technology was also present, as an additional member for this year's celebration.

By virtue of Proclamation 247 (series of 2002), PIDS leads the annual DPRM celebration to promote evidence-based policymaking in the country.
