According to the National Statistical Coordination Board (NSCB), despite the devastation brought about the series of natural disasters that hit the country in the last quarter of 2013, the country`s Gross Domestic Product posted a growth of 6.5 percent in the fourth quarter of 2013 mainly due to the Service sector, particularly, Trade and Real Estate; and Renting and Business Activities. On an annual basis, Gross Domestic Product (GDP) grew by 7.2 percent in 2013 from 6.8 percent in 2012.
