Global trends indicate a shift towards automation and digital technologies, with artificial intelligence (AI) being at the forefront. Adoption of AI in business and industry promises enhanced efficiency, cost reduction and innovation. However, AI adoption also poses challenges including workforce displacement, need for new skills and demand for digital infrastructure.

The proposed research aims to conduct a scoping study on AI use in Philippine industries. This study is motivated by the increasing integration of AI technologies worldwide and the potential transformative impact on business processes. Given the evolving digital landscape and the Philippines' growing focus on industrial innovation, this study seeks to provide an in-depth understanding of AI's current status, enablers and challenges within the local manufacturing context.
