One of the most prominent features of ASEAN is its ASEAN Centrality, which is reflected in its cooperative dialogue that is based on consensus, non-binding, and informal regulations. Most, if not all, of its dialogues are considered non-binding, which gives economies flexibility and independence in achieving its commitments, a reason why ASEAN is successful in its endeavors.
