The economy should expand by at least 4 percent in the second semester for the government to meet its full-year growth target of 5 to 6 percent, the National Economic and Development Authority said. NEDA Director General Arsenio Balisacan said that for the third quarter alone, the gross domestic product (GDP) growth rate should be much higher than the 3.2 percent increase recorded during the same period last year.
