4th Final Workshop on ASEAN Beyond 2015

The Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA), together with partner institutions, held a series of final workshops of the ASEAN and AEC Beyond 2015 Project in four ASEAN capitals. The project involved the preparation of thought papers or issues papers on various aspects related to the deepening of economic integration in the ASEAN and with East Asia, competitive and dynamic ASEAN, inclusive and resilient ASEAN, and raising ASEAN voice in international arena.

The objectives of the workshops were to present and discuss the thought or issues papers and the Project`s Integrative Report, and engage with the participants to generate consensus on recommendations for ASEAN and AEC moving forward beyond 2015. Participants came from the private business sector, research and academic community, and government officials.



For the Manila leg, the workshop was co-hosted by the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS), with the cooperation of the Department of Trade and Industry. The focus of the Manila workshop was `ASEAN Beyond 2015` held on 26 November 2013, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, at the Romulo Hall of the NEDA sa Makati Building, Makati City.
