The PIDS and the Institute of Developing Economies (IDE) – Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) are conducting a study  on "Poverty Alleviation of Women and Children with Disabilities". This study aims to specifically address the lack of statistical data on socioeconomic conditions of women and children with disabilities in developing countries. This study is part of a project, titled “Poverty Alleviation of Women and Children with Disabilities in Developing Countries,” which covers Indonesia, India and the Philippines. The Philippine component is led by Dr. Celia M. Reyes, PIDS research fellow. She also served as the project leader of the PIDS-IDE disability research projects in 2008 and 2010.
