To further increase its reach at the local level and draw awareness in the provinces on the importance of policy research and the DPRM theme, the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) has partnered with the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) in organizing Kapihan Press Conferences in different provinces. One of these regional press conferences is slated in Laoag City on Sept. 16, from 11am to 1pm. Dr. Sheila Siar, director for research information at PIDS, will serve as the resource person. Also invited as panelists for this press conference are local government executives and regulators in Region 1. This event is co-organized with the regional office of PIA in Region 1.
