This webinar is the first part of the sixth biennial meeting of the Socioeconomic Research Portal for the Philippines (SERP-P) Network on July 28, 2021. This virtual public event, from 9:00 to 11:30 am via Cisco Webex, will feature presentations tackling disinformation and strategies to combat it.
It will be followed by the SERP-P Network Meeting from 1:00 to 3:10 pm to review the accomplishments of SERP-P and plan for ways forward.
SERP-P (https://serp-p.pids.gov.ph/) is an online knowledge resource developed and maintained by the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS). It contains socioeconomic studies and materials produced by PIDS, other government agencies, academic and research institutions, and international organizations. Its establishment in 2000 is in line with the Institute’s mandates of providing a common link between the government and research institutions and of establishing an open-access repository of socioeconomic information that policymakers, educators, and students can use. The SERP-P Network has more than 50 partner-institutions to date.
