40 Things (You Just Might Not Know) About PIDS (14/40): First publication of PIDS
In 1979, PIDS published its first book, Industrial Promotion Policies in the Philippines. With Romeo Bautista and John Power as main authors, it analyzed the economic policy climate affecting the performance of Philippine manufacturing industries and recommended modifications to the country’s industrial promotion policies to make them more supportive of national development policies.
