The NEDA Regional Office (NRO) MIMAROPA signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) to become the latest institutional member of the Socio Economic Research Portal for the Philippines (SERP-P) during the 6th Biennial Meeting on July 28 through Zoom.

Assistant Regional Director Bernardino A. Atienza, Jr., represented NRO MIMAROPA during the simple signing ceremony, while President Celia M. Reyes represented PIDS.

In his remarks, Atienza thanked the PIDS SERP-P for accepting NRO MIMAROPA’s request to become an institutional member of the SERP-P. This will help the agency in the dissemination of relevant information to MIMAROPA such as analysis of various programs and projects.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by Dr. Sheila V. Siar, SERP-P Project Manager, and representatives from the public and private institutional members of the portal.

SERP-P is the country’s first electronic repository of policy research and information that capitalizes on research networking. SERP-P users can access socioeconomic publications/materials in various formats which can be easily disseminated to partner institutions, academe, and the general public.
