#PIDSInfoBits: Did you know that the Philippines has the third highest proportion of youth not in employment, education, or training (NEET)* in Southeast Asia and the second highest among ASEAN-5?
In 2018, the Philippines’ NEET rate was at 19.9 percent. Meanwhile, Indonesia had the highest NEET rate at 21.7 percent, followed by Brunei Darussalam at 20.7 percent.
*NEET are young people who are not accumulating human capital through education or employment as they transition to adulthood.
