Dr. Adoracion Navarro, Senior Research Fellow at PIDS, delivered the keynote address at the 2025 Asian Psychological Services and Assessment, Inc. (APSA) Research Summit, emphasizing the power of research-driven innovations in addressing the Philippine education crisis. She highlighted the urgent need for evidence-based reforms amid challenges such as learning poverty, outdated curricula, and digital accessibility gaps.  

Dr. Navarro also underscored PIDS’ role in supporting EDCOM 2’s policy agenda through 41 in-depth studies, tackling issues from early childhood education to technical-vocational training. She also stressed the transformative potential of AI in education while advocating for equitable access to digital tools. Her speech called for stronger collaboration between educators, policymakers, and researchers to drive meaningful and lasting education reforms. 

Following her speech, Dr. Navarro engaged in a Q&A session, addressing inquiries on data sources, longevity studies, and other research concerns raised by the participants.
