The Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS), Philippine APEC Study Network (PASCN), and the University of San Carlos organized a regional symposium on "Disruptive Technologies: Opportunities, Challenges, and Risks" on January 23, 2019 at the Michael Richartz Tourism Center, University of San Carlos Talamban Campus, Cebu City.
A sequel of the symposium organized in Metro Manila on October 2018 on the same theme, the event aimed to provide a venue for exchange of ideas to propel more engagements toward the socioeconomic development not only in the region but the whole Philippines. This was in line with the PASCN's Information Dissemination Program to disseminate the findings of APEC related issues that are relevant to the Philippine economic agenda and to bring the discussions to the regions.
