40 Things (You Just Might Not Know) About PIDS (35/40):PIDS and APEC 2015

In support of the Philippines’ hosting of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) 2015 Summit, the PIDS, lead convenor of the Philippine APEC Study Center Network (PASCN), organized the 2015 APEC Study Centers Consortium (ASCC) Conference. Held on May 12-13, 2015, in Boracay Island, Aklan, the conference was part of the Second Senior Officials’ Meeting and related activities of the summit. Discussions revolved around the APEC 2015 theme of “Building Inclusive Economies, Building a Better World”.

The PIDS and the PASCN also published a two-volume publication consisting of the policy papers written under the Research Project APEC 2015 commissioned by the Department of Foreign Affairs. The policy papers provided analyses and recommendations on the identified priority areas of APEC 2015. They served as inputs to the various discussions during the summit.
