QUEZON CITY, January 23 (PIA) -- The Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) will be conducting a virtual launch of a book entitled,  "Revitalizing Philippine Irrigation: A Systems and Governance Assessment for the 21st Century” on January 28, 2021.

According to the PIDS, the book features a compilation of studies on the country's irrigation system by prominent authors from diverse organizations. The book evaluates the Philippines' irrigation program, encompassing both national and communal systems. It also covers water resource assessment, government issues, policy shifts and various other program considerations.

Agriculture Secretary William D. Dar and Senator Cynthia A. Villar, Chairperson of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Food, and Agrarian Reform, are set to participate as speakers in the said event.
