In celebration of the 13th Development Policy Research Month (DPRM), the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS), in partnership with the Mindanao Development Authority (MinDa) will hold a policy forum on September 4, 2015 at the Waterfront Insular Hotel in Davao City.
Papers to be presented at the forum includes a paper by PIDS Consultant Oscar Picazo titled "Green and Gold: Promoting Eco-Adventure and Cultural Tourism for Inclusive and Sustainable Growth” and MinDA's study on “Developing Payment for Ecosystem Services (PES) Mechanism with River Basin Organization (RBOs) in Mindanao”.
The policy forum aims to bring the highlights of these studies to the attention of stakeholders in Mindanao where there is a significant number of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and local policy- and decisionmakers.
