In celebration of the 50th founding anniversary of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA), the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS), the Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA), and the ASEAN Society (AS) organized a public symposium on "Building ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community and Nation Building".
Held at the Marco Polo Hotel in Davao City on August 24, members of the academe, government, and civil society organizations gathered to discuss issues and challenges on building the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community.
