The Philippine APEC Study Center Network (PASCN), in collaboration with the University of San Carlos, hosted the symposium "Shaping APEC’s Blue Economy Agenda: Philippine Leadership and Visayas-Centric Innovations" on February 19, 2025 at the USC Talamban Campus, Cebu City.
Experts from various fields explored critical issues in the development of marine resources and ocean-based industries such as gender and social inclusion in fisheries, the role of science and technology in the blue economy, and regional economic developments in Cebu and Central Visayas.
The discussions underscored the Philippines' leadership in advancing sustainable and inclusive blue economy initiatives in the APEC region.
