On March 13, 2025, PIDS welcomed a delegation from IE University, Spain, led by Provost Dr. Manuel Muñiz, for an insightful exchange on policy research and potential collaboration. Discussions covered the Philippine socioeconomic landscape, PIDS’ research priorities, and areas of synergy with IE University’s Global Policy Center. Both institutions expressed interest in fostering future partnerships and maintaining an ongoing dialogue.
The IE University delegation included Dr. Manuel Muñiz, Provost; Alberto Ibañez, Director for Asia Pacific; and Angie Figueroa-Alcorta, Executive Director for Partnerships at IE School of Politics, Economics & Global Affairs.
Representing PIDS were Dr. Aniceto C. Orbeta Jr., President; Dr. Marife Ballesteros, Vice President; Dr. Adoracion Navarro, Senior Research Fellow; Dr. Francis Quimba, Senior Research Fellow; Dr. Michael Abrigo, Senior Research Fellow; and Dr. Jose Ramon Albert, Senior Research Fellow.
