This webinar features the PIDS study “Towards a More Inclusive Agricultural Insurance Program”, which examined the implementation of agricultural insurance services under the Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation. The authors, namely, PIDS President Celia M. Reyes, PIDS Research Fellow Aubrey Tabuga, former PIDS Supervising Research Specialist Nicoli Arthur Borromeo, PIDS Research Specialist Arkin Arboneda, and PIDS Research Analyst Carlos Cabaero looked into the issues, opportunities, and efforts affecting the impact and inclusion of agricultural insurance programs in the country. They also provided recommendations to improve the design of these programs, which are intended to protect agricultural producers from losses due to external shocks and risks.
