The Philippines Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) will hold a series of webinars for this year’s Sixth Annual Public Policy Conference (APPC) on Innovating Governance: Building Resilience Against COVID-19 and Other Risks.
This is the second of the four-part webinar series (via CISCO Webex) happening on September 17, 2020, from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM.
This webinar will talk about institutional reforms necessary to achieve an agile and innovative governance in the midst of a volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous world. It will look at the exemplary reforms implemented by other countries, which the Philippines can learn from. The objective of this session is to draw a set of concrete recommendations/action plans/policies that will promote innovation in the Philippine public sector.
The APPC is the main and culminating activity of the Development Policy Research Month (DPRM) celebration held every September. It aims to convene foreign and local experts, researchers, policymakers, and representatives from government, private sector, and civil society in an evidence-based discourse of policy issues and options.
The webinar will be streamed live on the PIDS Facebook page (https://.facebook.com/PIDS.PH).
Details of this year’s DPRM and APPC may be accessed from the DPRM website at https://dprm.pids.gov.ph/.
