The Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS), in partnership with the Congressional Policy and Budget Research Department and Asian Institute of Management will hold a knowledge sharing forum on “Seeking Out Opportunities and Gearing up for the Challenges in the 4th Industrial Revolution” on October 10, 2018 from 1:00PM – 4:00PM at the Speaker De Venecia Hall, 1st floor, South Wing Annex, House of Representatives, Quezon City.
The knowledge sharing forum aims to: a) bring into the forefront of legislative discussions the impacts and various challenges and opportunities of the fourth industrial revolution (FIRe) that can affect the country's key economic growth drivers, namely: industry and manufacturing, business process management, and agriculture; and b) promote the need for establishing a proper policy framework for the country’s key industries to better manage these challenges and further harness the opportunities brought by the FIRe.
Among the speakers who will present during the forum are Dr. Jikyeong Kang, president of the Asian Institute of Management, Dr. Jose Ramon Albert, senior research fellow of PIDS, Dr. Rafaelita Aldaba, assistant secretary from the Department of Trade and Industry, and representatives from the IT-BPM, electronics/manufacturing, and agriculture sectors.
