The Philippines Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) will hold a series of webinars for this year’s Sixth Annual Public Policy Conference (APPC) on Innovating Governance: Building Resilience Against COVID-19 and Other Risks.

This is the third of the four-part webinar series (via CISCO Webex) happening on September 22, 2020, from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM.

This webinar will focus on innovations that are intended to upskill and strengthen the public sector workforce. It will tackle key issues in recruitment, performance, and capacities in government as well as highlight reforms that the Philippine civil service can adopt to become agile and innovative in the midst of crises.

The APPC is the main and culminating activity of the Development Policy Research Month (DPRM) celebration held every September. It aims to convene foreign and local experts, researchers, policymakers, and representatives from government, private sector, and civil society in an evidence-based discourse of policy issues and options.

The webinar will be streamed live on the PIDS Facebook page (fb.com/PIDS.PH).

Details of this year’s DPRM and APPC may be accessed from the DPRM website at https://dprm.pids.gov.ph/.
