The Philippine Institute for Development Studies will hold a webinar on June 25, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM to feature the study “Assessing the Alignment of Philippine Higher Education with the Emerging Demands for Data Science and Analytics Workforce” by PIDS consultants Dr. Brenda A. Quismorio, Ms. Maria Antonette D. Pasquin, and Ms. Claire S. Tayco.
The authors examined the industry demand for data science and analytics (DSA) workforce vis-à-vis the DSA skills with which academic institutions equip their students. They reviewed the curricula on DSA-related undergraduate degree programs to see if these are providing students with the proper competencies and training for future jobs. They also recommended courses of actions that key players in the education, industry, and government sectors can adopt to ensure the adequate and sustainable supply of DSA Filipino workforce.
This webinar will be streamed live on the PIDS Facebook page. Those who want to join the actual webinar should PRE-REGISTER using this link: https://events.pids.gov.ph/registration?id=413.
