The Philippine Institute for Development Studies will hold a webinar on June 11, 2020, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm to feature the PIDS research paper titled “Philippine Statistical System in the Wake of the Emerging Data Revolution and Digitization”.

Authored by PIDS Senior Research Fellow Jose Ramon G. Albert and Research Specialist Jana Flor V. Vizmanos, the study looked into the statistical capacity and enabling environment of the Philippine Statistical System, which plays a significant role in national development planning. It also tackled issues such as trust and confidentiality and accuracy of data in the wake of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and digitization. It also provided some policy recommendations on how to improve the statistical system in the country to meet the demands of the modern times.
