Hello, PIDS friends! Here's our #FactFriday for the week on the HRH Deployment Program.

A PIDS evaluation of the Human Resources for Health (HRH) Deployment Program found that while the program was originally designed to deploy HRH in underserved areas, it has since expanded to include any area in the country, even those with high income, high HRH-to-population ratio, and low poverty incidence. Moreover, the experience of deployed healthcare workers is varied. The most common problems reported are delays in the receipt of monthly compensation during the first few months of hiring and the absence of transportation allowance in many cases.
