A PIDS study found that men are more likely than women to have SSS/GSIS and PhilHealth especially among workers in the rural areas. Men in the services sector and the agricultural sector have a higher likelihood of having social insurance than women. However, in the industry sector, men have relatively lower access to social insurance than women.
