The Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS), Department of Education (DepED), and Innovations for Poverty Action Philippines are jointly organizing a policy forum on “Evidence in the Education Sector" on 24 May 2016 at 8:30 am to 4:15 pm at the PIDS Conference Room, 18th Floor, Three Cyberpod Centris, North Tower, EDSA corner Quezon Avenue, Quezon City.

The key objective of the policy forum is to disseminate among key decisionmakers how impact evaluation and evidence have been useful in achieving improved learning outcomes. The agenda items include: (1) a keynote speech on evidence-based design and rigorous testing towards education for all; (2) panel discussions on lessons in enabling learning and evidence and gaps in secondary and technical and vocational education; and (3) roundtable discussions on identifying champions for impact evaluations and what we have learned about enabling learning.

The policy forum will be attended by the DepEd, National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Department of Budget and Management (DBM), education practitioners, nonprofit organizations working in the education sector, and donor agencies, among others.
