The Agricultural Credit and Policy Council (ACPC) has the mandate of coordinating all credit policies and programs in support of the Department of Agriculture’s policy and program priorities. It is also the administrator of the Agro-Industry Modernization Credit and Financing Program (AMCFP). This Policy Note discusses the results of an assessment of the ACPC’s role—as evaluator of credit programs, policy research body, and administrator and implementer of the AMCFP vis-à-vis its legal mandates. The review mainly looked at the credit financing activities of the ACPC from 2008 to 2012, specifically those pertaining to the AMCFP.
