Experts gathered on November 6 at the ADB Headquarters to discuss research and policy issues affecting agricultural development and food security in the Philippines. The conference featured keynote addresses, in-depth presentations, and discussions on the role of governance, trade policies, and infrastructure in modernizing agriculture.

This conference also honored agricultural economist Dr. Cristina David. A leading expert in her field, David mentored numerous esteemed economists. She is also recognized for her research work and pivotal role in the success of the 1986 "Green Book," which sparked critical policy reforms on Philippine agriculture and food security.

The event was conducted partnership with the Asian Development Bank, Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA), and United Nations Development Programme - UNDP.
