The reports included in this second issue of the Economic Outlook Series have been presented at the PIDS annual roundtable discussion. The papers confer insights on the country’s capacity to reach NIC-hood, on political economy issues and on global events that affect the government’s attempt to revitalize its export activities. It also includes commentaries on the panelists’ forecasts from officials of the Philippine Exporters Confederation, Inc., Trade Union of the Philippines and the Federation of Free Farmers.
