The accelerated increase in the world population has resulted in poverty, with women and children bearing the greatest burden. Hence, contraceptive research and family planning service delivery have been receiving the most attention. This paper summarizes the findings of some local social science research works on reproductive health and their implications on policy formulation and program management.
