Provision of good health to the citizenry cannot be done alone by the DOH. Collective efforts of the public, private and community sectors is needed to achieve the goal of Health for All by 2000. Local government units participation is a major contribution to the success of health financing schemes. LGUs can provide the much needed financial support to augment the meager sources of the communities by subsidizing their expenses. Meanwhile the private sector could provide technical and management assistance to the communities.
